Only if the voltage and connector match. Most foldable panels output 18V to 20V DC through an Anderson or DC barrel plug. Check your station input voltage range before pairing.
Under full sun, expect seven to nine hours from empty. Cloud cover, panel angle, and temperature reduce that. It is better for maintaining charge than for a full recharge in one day.
Some carry an IP67 rating for rain and dust. The junction box and connectors may still be vulnerable. Do not submerge a foldable panel even if it is rated for rain.
No. A foldable solar panel is just a charger. It produces power only when sunlight hits it. You need a power station or a USB battery bank to store the energy.
The foldable part is the solar panel that comes with or pairs with the station. It collapses into a smaller package for transport and storage. A 40W or 60W panel folds down to roughly the size of a laptop sleeve, which makes it easier to pack than a rigid panel.
Some kits bundle a 300W or 350W station with a 40W foldable panel. Others pair a 100W station with a 40W panel or a 200W station with a 60W panel. The panel wattage is usually lower than the station capacity, so solar charging is slow and best for topping off rather than full recharge.
A 288Wh station with a 40W panel can take most of a sunny day to recharge from empty. The 192Wh LiFePO4 unit with a 200W station rating is a different pairing: the panel is not included in that sample, so check what comes in the box. Output ports on the panel often include USB-A, USB-C PD, and DC, which lets you charge devices directly without the station.
Foldable panels use a fabric or plastic backing with solar cells laminated inside. Some carry an IP67 waterproof rating, which means they survive rain and dust. The station itself is not waterproof, so keep it dry even if the panel can handle weather.
A foldable panel has lower output per square foot than a rigid panel of the same wattage. If you need maximum solar harvest in a fixed location, a rigid panel does better. For camping, RV travel, or emergency kits where space is tight, the foldable format wins on portability.
